Daniel E. Shafer

Daniel Eugene "Danny" Shafer, 61 of Taylorville passed away at 5:13 PM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at his home.

He was born on September 3, 1954 at Taylorville the son of Gerald Eugene and Shirley Ruth (Markwell) Shafer. He was preceded in death by his father; Infant sister, Judith Marie Fisher; Great nephew, Koty Cook.

Danny had previously worked for Borden Chemical. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors: Mother and Step Father, Shirley and Bob Fisher of Mt. Auburn, IL; Sisters, Debra Knowles-Fisher of Mt. Auburn, IL, Sandra (Husband, Anthony) Gudauski of Harristown, IL and Michelle (Husband, Michael) Abbott of Mechanicsburg, IL; Brother, Kenneth (Wife, Tineal) Fisher of Taylorville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery at a later date.
