David E. Van Ostran

David Eugene Van Ostran, 26 of Virden formerly of Morrisonville passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 9:15 PM at his home.

He was born on April 5, 1988 at Hillsboro the son of Rodney D. and Laura L. (Mundhenke) Van Ostran. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Van Ostran and an uncle, Dale Van Ostran.

David was a diesel mechanic working mostly in the trucking industry. He enjoyed playing his base guitar, artwork and dirt track racing.

Survivors include: Parents, Rodney and Laura Van Ostran of Morrisonville, IL; Sister, Amanda Mae Van Ostran of Morrisonville, IL; Grandparents, Theresa Van Ostran of Edinburg, IL, Gene and Peggy Gartshore of Taylorville, IL and James David Mundhenke of Morrisonville, IL; Great Grandparents, Doris Ann Mundhenke of Morrisonville, IL and William O'Dell Altman of Decatur, IL; 1 Uncle; 2 Aunts and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. A graveside service will be held on Saturday evening immediately following the visitation at Anderson Cemetery in Palmer. Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family of David Van Ostran to be used for a memorial monument.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville is in charge of arrangements.
