Dayton Brewer, 85, of Sorento formerly of Washington Park passed away Friday August 20, 2004 at 6:45 AM at his home. 

He was born April 19, 1919 in Ridgely, Tennessee the son of William J. and Fronia E. (Horn) Brewer. He married Marian Holloway on February 26, 1949 in East St. Louis, IL. Preceding him in death were a brother, George Brewer and a sister, Lillian Manoll. 

Mr. Brewer work as a construction laborer for Local #100 of East St. Louis of which he has been a member for 57 years. He was also a member of Kessinger American Legion Post #713 of Sorento and a veteran of the Army serving during World War II. 

Survivors: Wife, Marian Brewer of Sorento; Sisters, Helen Vaughn of Kirkwood, MO and Ailene Hobbs of Troy, IL; Several Nieces, Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews. Friends may call on Sunday, August 22, 2004 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 23, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento, with Rev. Elmer L. Fenton officiating. Burial will be in Forever Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belleville. 

Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice.
