Deloris M. Scott

Deloris M. Scott, age 84, of Smithboro, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1 PM at Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.

Deloris was born August 19, 1931 in Greenville to Olin and Irene (Willis) Nowlin. She married Ronald H. Scott on November 2, 1952 in Pekin, Arkansas. He died June 25, 2009. She is survived by her daughters Sandy (Dean) Stewart of Mulberry Grove, IL and Jane Scott ( Kyle Schwarm) of Brownstown, IL., She is also survived by two grandchildren Dillon Holloway and Kelly Kirby along with three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers Merle Nowlin and Eldon Nowlin along with a sister Dorothy Hediger.

Deloris had worked at Bauer Fur Company, Harry's Drive In, but spent most of her working life as a cook for The Mulberry Grove School District.
