Dennis Thacker

Dennis Vern Thacker, 57, of Old Ripley, died at 6:29 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Greenville Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at County Line Family Church in Donnellson with the Rev. Adam Hahs officiating.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thacker was born on Jan. 5, 1952, in Litchfield, the son of the late Harold and Carrie Dolores (Bone) Thacker. He married Donna Holt on Oct. 7, 1972, in Sorento and she survives.

Mr. Thacker worked for Holcim in St. Louis as a terminal operator. He was a member of Shoal Creek ABATE and Virago Owner's Club. He attended County Line Family Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Dennis (wife Ashlee) Thacker of Sorento and Chad (wife Stacy) Thacker of Reno; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Thacker (companion Virginia) and David (wife Joyce) Thacker, both of Sorento; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
