Desiree Antoine

Desiree Antoine, 99, of Robinson died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004, in Cotillion Nursing Home, Robinson.

She was born July 3, 1905 in Auchel, France, the daughter of August and Philomene (Wattelet) Poiriez. She married Francois Antoine on January 3, 1922, in Taylorville. He died February 20, 1979. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Louise Henry of Robinson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Yvonne Flick of Lacon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
