Diana Lynn Pounds Winchester, 60, of Morrisonville passed away at 1:13 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010, in Memorial Medical Center.

She was born May 26, 1949, in Taylorville, the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth McQuiggin Pounds. She married Ronnie Lee Winchester in 1967 in Taylorville. He died February 10, 2005. Diana worked in home health care as a CNA and was formerly employed with the State of Illinois Department of Revenue. She was a member of Moose Lodge 1516, Eagles Club 1425, American Legion Post 73 Auxiliary and the 40 Mile an Hour Club.

Surviving are her sons: Kevin (wife Alesia) Winchester of Virden and William (wife Dena) Winchester of Taylorville; daughter, Malinda (husband Alan) Remmert of Stonington; grandchildren: Marcy (Dan) Wallace of Chatham, Mitchell, Mallory and Mackenzie Remmert, all of Stonington, Brandon, Austin and Kelsey Winchester, all of Taylorville; great-grandchild, Meadow Remmert; mother, Elizabeth Warren of Taylorville; brothers: Richard (wife Hilda) Pounds of Taylorville and Joseph (wife Amy) Pounds of Danville; sisters: Kristine Colclasure of Nebraska and Mona (husband Terry) Ream of Taylorville; companion, Jim Beemen of Morrisonville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; husband; step-father, Dale Warren; brother, Ralph Pounds; and sisters: Nancy Kevie and Louverda Marcus.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
