Dolores I. DeClerck

Dolores Irene DeClerck, 74, of Taylorville died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2006, in her residence.

She was born April 8, 1932, in Edinburg, the daughter of Ralph and Jessie (Pierce) Rentfrow. She married Charles DeClerck on November 24, 1949, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Taylorville. She was a housewife. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of Taylorville, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Taylorville, Democrat Women of Christian County, and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; son, Tom (wife Tracy) DeClerck of Stonington; daughter, Janet (husband Mac) McChristy of Taylorville; grandchildren: Trent (wife Wendy) DeClerck of Stonington, Travis (wife Lora) DeClerck of Wyley, TX, Treena (husband Kevin) Brown of Taylorville, Charlee Kocurek of Taylorville, and Kyle Kocurek of Taylorville; great-grandchildren: Drew DeClerck of Dorsey, IL, Lance and Lacey DeClerck of Stonington, Avery and Olin DeClerck of Wyley, TX, and Keaton, Dylan, and Tyler Brown of Taylorville; sister Evelyn Jackson of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville. Burial will be in Ponting Cemetery, Stonington.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, in the funeral home.
