Dolores L. Justice, 88, loving mother and grandmother was called home to our Lord and Savior on January 25, 2006. Dolores was born on March 18, 1917 to Lon and Minnie McDermott in Neoga, II. Dolores and her sister Zelma spent many years playing music and singing at revivals in and around Illinois and Indiana. She married George Justice on June 11, 1949. They were married in an airplane while flying over the Mattoon, Il airport. Dolores was employed at Kern’s factory in Neoga before moving to Stonington with her husband George in 1956 to their rural farm. Dolores was a member of the Neoga Free Methodist Church. She was a faithful dedicated servant of our Lord in being the pianist/organist at Old Stonington Baptist Church since the 1950’s, rarely missing an opportunity to Praise God with her gift of music. Dolores truly was a blessing and a gift from God to all ho knew her.

She is survived by her son George Jr. and wife Susan and her grandsons: Frank and John all of Stonington.

She was preceded in her journey to Heaven by her parents, sister Zelma, brother Forrest and husband George.

Private graveside service were held at Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington with Pastor Joel Lohr officiating.

Memorials in her honor may be made to continue grandsons Christian Education in care of the Taylorville Community Credit Union.

Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
