Domenick J. Ronchetto

Domenick J. "Pepsi" Ronchetto, 90 of Palmer passed away at 3:27 PM on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

He was born on April 7, 1926 at Kincaid the son of Severino and Mary Ronchetto. Domenick married Edith Berta on June 3, 1950 at Pawnee. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 Brother; 2 Sisters; Step Father Joe Lolli.

Domenick served in the Navy during World War II. Following his discharge, he was employed with the coal mine at Tovey and then with Borg-Warner at Decatur. In 1962, he moved to Palmer where he owned and operated Domenick's Tavern for 53 years, retiring at the age of 89. In his youth, he was well known locally as a pitcher with various fast-pitch softball teams.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Ronchetto of Palmer, IL; 2 Sons, Michael Ronchetto of Palmer, IL and Gary (wife, Mary) Ronchetto of Morrisonville, IL; 2 Granddaughters, Misty Ronchetto of Morrisonville, IL and Heidi Ronchetto-Spyridakis of Detroit, MI; 3 Great Grandchildren, Andreas, Anastasia and Antonio; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Private family funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville with Sister Rose McKeown officiating. Burial will follow at Morrisonville Cemetery.
