Donald Glen Ingles

Donald Glen Ingles, 70 of Pekin formerly of Sorento passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Peoria. 

He was born June 7, 1938 in Sorento the son of Harry and Rosie (Pollard) Ingles. He married Cindy Peak on May 13, 1979. He was preceded in death by his parents; Brothers, Clifford, Frances, Cecil and Udell Ingles; Sisters, Dorothy Enloe and Goldie Saathoff; 1 Step Son. 

Don attended Sorento grade school and high school where he was an outstanding basketball player. He was a graduate of Bond County High School. After high school he served in the Air Force for 4 years. Don worked at the Hiram Walker Barrel Plant until it closed and then was employed at Caterpillar in Peoria until his retirement. 

Survivors: Wife, Cindy Ingles; Daughters, Kivi Davis and Margaret Smith; Step Daughter, Susan Griffis; Grandchildren, Tiffany Davis, Cory Smith and Ronnie Smith; 6 Step Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; Sisters, Lora Giffen and Opal Varner of Sorento, IL, Irma Cress of Hillsboro, IL; Brothers, Dean Ingles of Sorento, IL and Shirley Ingles of Bradenton, FL; Many Nieces and Nephews. 

Friends may call on Friday, August 29 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home with the Rev. Curt Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.
