Donnie Cook, age 81, of Grantfork, IL passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home. Private services for the family will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Vitas Hospice or The United Church of Christ of Grantfork, IL.
Donnie was born March 11, 1937 in Mulberry Grove, IL to Howard and Hazel (Terry) Cook. He married Carolyn Sue Baldwin on May 17, 1959 in Vandalia, IL. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of Grantfork, IL, his children Terri Potthast of Collinsville, IL, Linda Lurkins of Highland, IL, and Mike Cook of Marine, IL. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Andrew Potthast, Jessica Freeman, Tracy McEvers, Tucker Lurkins and Taylor Lurkins along with six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his son-in-law Kent Goodin of Mulberry Grove, IL. He was preceded in death by his daughter Shelby Miller.
He grew up in Mulberry Grove and raised his family in Grantfork, IL. He served in the U.S Army from June 1956 to June 1958. He was a retired laborer.

Classmate of Donnie in Elementary and High School. So sorry to hear about Donnie and of your Daughter.. Too much sorrow for one family. Kent Goodin's mother was also my best friend forever. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
