Dorothy A. Harvel

Dorothy A. Harvel, 94, of Morrisonville, passed away at 4:55 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Dorothy was born March 9, 1928, in Morrisonville, the daughter of Noah Leo and Wilma Lorene (Lyerla) Durbin, Sr.  She married Joseph LeVoy Harvel on August 29, 1959, in Taylorville, and they enjoyed over 63 years of marriage.  Dorothy was a homemaker, and member of St. Maurice Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Noah L. Durbin, Jr.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Joseph of Morrisonville; sister, Barbara A. Tirey of Taylorville; sister-in-law, Betty J. Durbin of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside ceremony was held at St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Morrisonville with Rev. Florent Kanga officiating.

The family entrusted Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville with ceremonies.
