Dorothy I. Wright

Dorothy I. Wright, 88, of Taylorville, passed away, Friday, October 19, 2007 at 9:43a.m., at Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Taylorville, Ill. She was born March 15, 1919 in Taylorville, the daughter of Fred and Jessie (Holmes) Millman. She married Kenneth Delbert Wright on May 12, 1943 in Taylorville, and he passed away May 6, 1975. He worked as a Teacher's Aid for Taylorville School District and was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and was active in the United Methodist Women .

Surviving are her son Barry (wife Laurie) of Rochester, daughter Christy Conrad, of Taylorville and friend Paul Brewer of Toledo. Grandchildren: Kyle (wife Christina) Wright of Fairbanks, Alaska, Clark Wright, Rochester, Elaine Wright, Kirksville, Mo., and Brian Conrad, Savoy, Ill. She was preceded by her parents, husband and 4 brothers. Visitation will be Monday, October 22, from 9:30a.m to 11 :00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Taylorville. 

Memorial Service will be Monday, October 22 at 11 :00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Taylorville with Rev. Charlie Sward officiating. Cremation Rites were accorded. Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, Ill., in in charge of arrangements. 

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church,
