Dorothy Lucille Vollintine, 87 of Taylor Springs formerly of Walshville passed away Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor Springs.
She was born October 29, 1920 in Sorento the daughter of Frank Robert and Alice Marie (Blackorby) Allen. She married Earl Erwin Vollintine on October 7, 1939 in Montgomery County, IL.
Preceding her in death were her Parents, Husband, Daughter, Wanda Carol Vollintine and a Grandson, Brian Giller.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a Nurses Aid at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield for many years. She was a member of the Kessinger American Legion Post 713 Auxiliary.
Survivors: Daughters, Erylenne "Barbara" (Charles "Tony") Markulakis of Wilsonville, IL and Diane Sue (Kenneth "Butch") Giller of Hillsboro, IL; Sons, Frank Allan Vollintine, Lyman Earl Vollintine and Terry ( companion, Libby) Vollintine all of Walshville, IL; 8 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Wilma Voyles of Greenville, IL and Frances Timko of Carthage, IL; Many Nieces and Nephews;
Friends may call on Tuesday, August 19 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 20 at 11:00 AM at the Perfetti
Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Sands officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.
