Edward Henry Brockamp

Edward Henry Brockamp, 87, of Morrisonville, died at 10:58 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012, at Taylorville Care Center in Taylorville.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville with the Rev. Gerald Bunse officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Morrisonville.

Mr. Brockamp was born in Morrisonville on Sept. 7, 1924, the son of the late Joseph Henry and Christina (Walch) Brockamp. He married Nita J. Anderson at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville on April 19, 1951, and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2003.

He farmed and worked at Morrisonville Farmers CO-OP as an outdoor supervisor before retiring in August 1988.

Mr. Brockamp was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 1151. He was a past board member of both Morrisonville Farmers CO-OP and Kitchell Memorial Library.

He is survived by a daughter, Brenda (husband Kenton) Deardorff of Morrisonville; a son, Mark (wife Barbara) Brockamp of Rossville, KS; grandchildren, Adam (wife Jessica) Deardorff and Jamie and Eddie Brockamp; great-grandchildren, Rian and Noah Deardorff; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Brockamp was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Deardorff and brothers, Harold and Leo Brockamp.
