Eldon H. Ennen

Eldon H. Ennen, age 91, of Hookdale passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at his home. Eldon is survived by his wife Genny Ennen, his daughter Jan Ennen, his son Roger Ennen, his grandson Devin Kimbro, his brother Wayne (Joyce) Ennen, his sister Oleta (Dale) Schaufelberger, and his sister-in-law Jeanne Ennen. Eldon grew up in the Hookdale are and served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. He was a right side gunner on a B-29 bomber and was stationed at Tinian Island. He was discharged as a Staff Sergeant. After the war he returned to The Hookdale area where he farmed. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, V.F.W. Post #1377, and The Bond County Farm Bureau. He also a former member of The Odd Fellows and The Greenville Country Club
