Esther Alma Osterholt, 86, of Morrisonville passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at 10:52 a.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel with Pastor Scott Busacker officiating. Burial will follow at Morrisonville Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, Dec. 14 from 5-8 p.m. at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville.

She was born June 16, 1923 in Greenwood Township, Christian County, the daughter of Edward A. and Elsie Louise (Eggersmeier) Johnson. She married John William “Jack” Osterholt on May 6, 1944 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Nokomis; he preceded her in death in April 1987.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Vernita Fesser; and one brother, Alvin Johnson.

A homemaker, she also assisted her husband on the family farm. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel and a graduate of Morrisonville High School.

Survivors include one son, Dale (wife Marcia) Osterholt of Morrisonville; one daughter, Mary (husband Gary L.) Ronchetto also of Morrisonville; two brothers, Dwight (wife Doris) Johnson of Harvel and Amos Johnson of Nokomis, five sisters, Helen Bruntjen of Raymond, Emma Keiser of Nokomis, Leola (husband John) Palko of Deming, NM, Erma McKinnie of Morrisonville, and Norma (husband Bob) Converse of Hagar City, WI; a sister-in-law, Normadine Johnson of Auburn; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel or Morrisonville Community Ambulance.
