Eugene "Gene" Earl Davey

Eugene Earl "Gene" Davey, 61 of Sorento passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 8 :40 PM at his home. 

He was born December 27, 1946 at Sioux Falls, SD the son of Earl and Helen Madelyn (Lounsberry) Davey. He married Ann Grayson. His parents preceded him in death. 

Mr. Davey was employed as a supervisor at a landscape supply company in the Granite City area. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. 

Survivors: Wife, Ann Davey of Sorento, IL; Sons, Mike Burroughs of . Sorento, IL and Rick Burroughs of Granite City, IL. 

Mr. Davey's body was donated to Southern Illinois University School of Medicine for anatomical research. A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
