Eugene L. Becker, 87, of Taylorville died at 4:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, in his home.
He was born November 12, 1916, in Owaneco, the son of Henry and Fleeta (Corns) Becker. He married Velma Lorene Paul on July 7, 1940, in Troy, MO. He was a foreman for the N & W Railroad. He was a member of Taylorville Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife; sons: Jim Becker of Pensacola, FL, Dale Becker of Vienna, VA, and John Becker of Taylorville; daughters: Carolyn Borowiak of Lincoln Barbara Ferguson of Allen, TX, and Connie Lynch and Donna Radzimanowsky, both of Taylorville; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; three brothers; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, in the funeral home.
