HARVEL- Evelyn Rose Lebeck, 94, of Harvel died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 11:00 P.M. in Taylorville Care Center. She was born on November 8, 1916 in Taylorville to Ed and Pauline (Bartels) Zimmerman. She married Melvin Lebeck on October 31, 1936 in Harvel, Illinois. She was a graduate of Harvel High School. She was a homemaker. After raising her children, Evelyn worked for United States Department of Agriculture as a crop enumerator in the statistics department for several years. She had a passion for gardening and collected a wide variety of plants and trees. She loved to sew and quilt leaving her family with many handmade treasurers. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Harvel until it closed and then Trinity Lutheran Church of Harvel.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy (wife, Susan) Lebeck of Harvel, IL and Alan (wife, Kathleen) Lebeck of Albuquerque, NM; Daughters, Shelley (husband, Tom MacMahon) Lebeck of Albuquerque, NM, and Elissa Lebeck of New York, NY, 3 Grandchildren, Kurt (wife, Tanya) Lebeck of Brooklyn, NY, Lara Lebeck of Springfield, IL, and Jarrod Lebeck of Harvel, IL; Great Grandson, Arvo Lebeck.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on November 23, 1974, Brother, Howard Zimmerman, and Sister, Pearl Cutler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. in Perfetti Funeral Home, Morrisonville. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Perfetti Funeral Home, Morrisonville with Pastor Scott Busacker officiating. Burial will be held in Harvel Cemetery, Harvel.
