Frances M. Timko, 91 of Carthage formerly of the Litchfield and Sorento area passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Heritage House in Carthage.

Frances was born on March 31, 1924 in Sorento the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Blackorby) Allen. She married John Paul Timko on May 14, 1949 in Mt. Olive; he preceded her in death on April 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Vollintine and 2 siblings in infancy.

Frances was a member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Mendon. She enjoyed crocheting, caning and embroidering.
Survivors include: Daughter, Peggy (Duane) Tobias of Loraine; Three grandsons, Trent (Amy) Johnsey of Westfield, IN, Kurt (Heather) Tobias of Loraine and Kristopher Tobias of Mendon; Six great grandchildren Keirsten Tobias, Anna Johnsey, Zachary Johnsey, Brady Johnsey, Kyler Tobias and Casen Tobias; Two step children, Darien and Nicholas Bugh and one sister, Wilma Voyles of Springfield.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in Mendon with Father Lou Schlangen officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services in the church on Wednesday. Additional visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.

Memorials are suggested to St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, Mendon, Salem Lutheran Church, Mendon or St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro.

The Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon and the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento are in charge of arrangements.
