Francis A. Drnjevic

Francis A. Drnjevic, Jr., 67, of Taylorville died Saturday, February 9, 2008, in Taylorville Care Center. 

He was born March 20, 1940, in Taylorville, the son of Francis A. and Virginia D. Sexton Drnjevic. He married Mary L. Willer on December 26, 1963, in Taylorville. He graduated from Taylorville High School with the Class of 1958. He worked as a supervisor at Bridgestone Firestone. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Moose Lodge #1516. He coached Red Brand Little League and St. Mary's Church League Basketball and was a member of Taylorville Underwater Search and Recovery Team. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. 

Surviving are his sons: Francis A. Ill (wife Wendy) Drnjevic of Girard and Vincent Drnjevic (companion Sally Kelsall) of Taylorville; step-grandchildren: Robert Spinner and Ryan Traughber; brothers: Gary Drnjevic (companion Lil) of Swansea, Dennis (wife Laura) Drnjevic of Taylorville and James Drnjevic of Quincy; sister, Jo Marie Warren (companion Wayne Riggs) of Taylorville; and aunts: Jerry Drnjevic of Kincaid and Dorothy June Passoni of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery, Palmer. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, in the church and for one hour prior to services in the church Tuesday.
