Fred Willis, age 62, of Mulberry Grove, IL passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 2 PM at the Mulberry Grove American Legion Park building. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
Fred was born on November 22, 1954 in Highland, IL to Albert and Shirley (Kessinger) Willis. He married Lenore Casserly on June 15, 1974 in Greenville. They later divorced. He then married Mary Wisnasky on March 12, 1988 in St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his wife Mary of Mulberry Grove, IL, his father Albert Willis of Mulberry Grove, IL, his daughters Theresa Maasch with Robby Foehner of Smithboro, IL, and Tabitha Perkins and her husband Christopher of Maryville, IL, his son Ronald Neer and his wife Sara of Greenville, IL, his sisters Jana Willis of Mulberry Grove, IL, Ember Lipsey and her husband Tony of Vandalia, IL, Connie Willman and her husband Bill of Greenville, IL., his brother Dan Willis and his wife Cheryl of Mulberry Grove, IL, along with 9 grandchildren.
Fred grew up and lived all of his life in Mulberry Grove, IL and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. He served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne. He drove a truck for a living and drove for TLC Trucking, Todd Goodin Trucking, Wehrle Trucking, and also Greg Tally Trucking. He was a member of Mulberry Grove American Legion Post #1180 and a former member of the Mulberry Grove Volunteer Fire Department.

Grew up next door to Fred as kids. I remember our graduation night. He got his diploma, shook hands with principal and jumped up in the air. It was so fred. He was always alot of fun with a great laugh. I am so sorry for the pain his family is going thru at this time.
