Gail Erin Bell

Gail Erin Bell, 53 of Sorento passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11:44 PM at her home. 

She was born September 14, 1954 in East St. Louis, Illinois the daughter of Reuben and Alma (Bright) Gaines. She married Michael J. Bell on July 31, 1971 at Washington Park, IL. Preceding her in death were her parents and one nephew. 

Gail worked as a Correctional Officer at Graham Correctional Facility in Hillsboro for 19 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and Boy  Scout Troop #99 all of Sorento.

Survivors: Husband, Michael J. Bell of Sorento, IL; 2 Sons, Michael (Lisa) Bell Jr. of Schram City, IL and Quincy Bell of Highland, IL; 5 Grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessica, Melissa, Kaleb and Ziek; Sister, Nona.(Robert) Ponder of Trenton, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.· 

Friends may call on Saturday, May 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 11 at 3:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home with the Rev. Houston Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Sorento.

In memory of Gail memorials may be made to the Gail Bell family for a charity of their choice.
