Gale "Ernie" Keith Brewer

Gale Keith "Ernie" Brewer, 59, of Sorento passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 4:22 PM at his home.

He was born August 4, 1947 in Montgomery County, Illinois the son of Ralph and Frances (Meisenheimer) Brewer. He married Linda Howard. He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Brewer was a mechanic. He was a member of Panama VFW Post 6628 and a veteran of the Navy serving in Vietnam.

Survivors: Wife, Linda Brewer of Sorento, IL; Son, Bill Brewer of Hillsboro, IL; Daughter, Karina (husband, Joe) Leitschuh of Sorento, IL; 4 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Leroy Brewer of Coffeen, IL, Patrick Brewer of Mt. Olive, IL, Randy Brewer of Mitchell, IL and Rodney Brewer of Smithboro, IL; Sisters, Karen Turner of Greenville, IL, Marjorie Wall of Sorento, IL, Kathryn Cunningham of Eagarville, IL and Darlene Brewer of Silver Springs, FL; Mother, Frances Brewer of Greenville, IL; Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 6 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Cemetery in Reno and Rev. Tom Holly officiating.  Military honors will be conducted by Bond County Memorial Post 1377 of Greenville.

Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento is in charge of arrangements.
