Glen M. Nance

Glen M. Nance, age 84, passed away at Greenville Regional Hospital. He was born in Berkley, Michigan to Lee and Nellie (Farmer) Nance. He married Theresa Lucco on August 28, 1948 at Mt. Gilead Church in rural Greenville. She died August 12, 2010. He is survived by his sons Terry (Norma) Nance and Wm. E. (Lana) Nance, his brother Thomas Leroy Nance, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a son Jerry Nance, a grand daughter Jennifer Nance, and two brothers Hudson Nance and Clyde Nance. He grew up and lived in the Pocahontas area all of his life. He graduated from Pocahontas High School. He owned and operated Nance Tire Sales, Inc., T/G Antiques and Village Square Antiques. He was a fifty year member of Gordon Masonic Lodge #473 AF & AM and also a member of Ainad Temple. He served for 15 years on the Bond County Housing Board. He was a member of Utlaut Heatlh Services Board of Directors from 1978 to 1993. He served as Old Ripley Township Clerk for 16 years and also served on the Pocahontas-Old Ripley Fire Department for 29 years. Over the years he enjoyed time at Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends. Memorial contributions are suggested to Brown Cemetery
