Harold Dean Archer

Harold Dean Archer, age 78, of Panama, IL formerly of Monroe, GA passed away Thursday, February 28, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Mr. Archer was born on December 15, 1929 and was a native of Jackson County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Edward E. "Bud':' and Annie Lou (Oliver) Archer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Archer, four brothers and three sisters. Dean served his country in the Army in the Korean War, and was a member of the American Legion Post 64, Monroe, GA. He retired from the Ford Motor Company. 

Survivors include: Two sons, Lester Archer of Monroe, GA and Kevin Archer of Atlanta, GA; One daughter, Tina (Waldo) Schellenger of Panama, IL; He had several step children, three grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; Two brothers, Ned Archer of Athens, GA and Jack (Virginia) Archer of Nicholson, GA; One sister-in-law, Florence Archer-Williams of Athens, GA; Many nieces and nephews. 

Cremation rites have been accorded and service will be held at a later date.
