Harold William. Haare, 86, of Morrisonville passed away Monday, August 14, 2006 at 8:50 AM at Taylorville Care Center.

He was born September 25, 1919 in Astoria, IL the son of William and Blanche (Frye) Haare. He married Ida M. Rittenhouse on March I, 1946 in Morrisonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Richard Haare and 3 brothers.

Mr. Haare was engaged in farming for most of his life. In addition to farming he was employed by Raymond Implement and Balsley Implement in Morrisonville until his retirement. He served in the Army from 1942-1946 during World War II as a heavy maintenance operator in New Caledonia and the Philippines. His memberships include United Methodist Church in Morrisonville, life member of Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 721, Christian County Farm Bureau and National Rifle Association.

Survivors: Wife, Ida M. Haare of Morrisonville; Son, Larry (wife, Terry) Haare of Louisville, KY; Daughter in Law, Diane Haare of Morrisonville, IL; 4 granddaughters, Marissa (husband, David) Bockewitz of Morrisonville, IL, Marcie (husband, Brent) Martin, Carrie Haare and Lindsey Haare all of Louisville, KY; Great Granddaughter, Madyson Bockewitz of Morrisonville, IL; Brother, Aubrey (wife, Vivian) Haare of Mesa, AZ; Sister in Law, Sherry Haare of Astoria, IL; Brother in Law, Leon Rittenhouse of Morrisonville, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 16 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Moffitt-­Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 11 :00 AM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Horne with Rev. Jim Ferrill and Rev. Robert Christopherson officiating. Burial will follow in Morrisonville Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Leslie Reddick American Legion Post 721.

In memory of Harold W. Haare memorials may be made to Morrisonville Community Ambulance or United Methodist Church of Morrisonville.
