Harvey E. Brooks, age 87, of Greenville passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield, MO. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1 PM at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Young Funeral Home. Harvey was born July 6, 1928 in Fredricktown, MO to Earl & Mae (Grey) Brooks. He married Mildred Spicer on June 14, 1946 in Granite City, IL. He is survived by his wife of Greenville, his daughter Madonna Irvine and her husband Larry of San Antonio, TX, a brother Vernon Brooks of Greenville, a sister Fern Schilli of North Carolina, his grandchildren Todd Young of Texas and Tina Grob 0f Washington, and his great grandchildren Kendall, Sydney, Devon, Alex, and Jake. He grew up in Missouri and moved to Greenville in 1975. He worked at Air Products in Granite City and was a member of the First Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Greenville First Christian Church of the family.
