Hazel I. Eggiman, 87, of Rockford, IL, formerly of Morrisonville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 3:14 p.m. at Rock Bluff Nursing Home in Rockford, IL.  She was born September 19, 1937, in Coulterville, IL, the daughter of Milton and Mary (Bouas) Hawkins.  She married Billy Eggiman on November 24, 1979 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville, IL.

Surviving are her son, Michael R. (Cherri) Cross of Mineral Wells, TX; her daughters, Rhonda J. Eggiman of Taylorville, Barbara J. (Bill) Chaberlain of Rockford, IL, and Norma L. Cross of Taylorville; a step-son, Mickey L. Eggiman of Taylorville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy; and her siblings.

Hazel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylorville for many years.  She also was a member of the Moose Lodge in Haynes City, Florida.  She enjoyed quilting and gardening.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home in Morrisonville.  A funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Morrisonville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.  Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
