Helen Eloise Levis, 86, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away peacefully at Hospice of the Valley on July 3, 2008. She is survived by a brother, Richard Dechert and wife, Marilyn of Decatur, IL, niece, Deborah Teike and husband Mark of Columbus, IN, nephew Douglas Dechert and wife Lori of Newnan, GA, nephew Kevin Bramer of Pigeon Forge, TN, nephew, Kelly Bramer and wife Ann Marie of Bettendorf, IA and niece, Jody Hunt and husband Bill of Decatur, IL, along with 11 great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, after 47 years of marriage and by her parents, Daniel and Vera Dechert. She was born in Stonington, IL and lived in Springfield, IL, until she moved to Sun Lakes, AZ in 1982. For over 25 years, she and her husband operated Levis Funeral Accessories in Springfield, IL. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Chandler, AZ. She was the #1 fan o:fthe Phoenix Suns, an ardent and faithful season ticket holder. She enjoyed her bridge groups and companions and was an avid swimmer. She especially enjoyed hosting birthday parties for family and friends at Arizona Diamondbacks baseball games. She enjoyed the friendship of many friends in the Sun Lakes/Phoenix area.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, Ju.ly 8th at the Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr, Chandler, AZ. Services will be Tuesday, July 9th at 10:30 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 800 W. Ray Rd,, Chandler, AZ. Graveside services and burial will be Friday, July 11th at 2:00 pm at Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. The family requests donations in lieu of flowers to: Epiphany Lutheran Church, Restless Leg Syndrome Foundation (www.rls.org), Neighbors Who Care, or Hospice of the Valley.
