Helen I. Fischmann

Helen I. Fischmann, 78, of Minooka, IL, died Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL.

She was born on March 13, 1928, in Taylorville, the daughter of Ralph and Irene Hofener. Helen was a long time member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Shorewood, IL. She enjoyed time spent with family. She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband Robert; children: Bryan and Joan, of Minooka, Kent (wife Bobbi) of Denver, CO, and Gary (wife Lupita) of Evanston, IL; grandchildren: Caleb, Cami, Alex, Jack and Cassie; siblings: Marge Griffiths of Taylorville, Harold (wife Becky) Hofener of Oklahoma City, OK, Robert (wife Esther) Hofener of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jean Brown of Cleveland, OH.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Taylorville. Interment will be in Grove City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, at Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville. Mrs. Fischmann will be lying in state from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services on Thursday, in the church.
