Herbert G. "Herb" Lloyd

Herb Lloyd, age 91 passed at Greenville Regional Hopsital. He is survived by his children Dennis (Shirley) Lloyd, Gloria (Gilbert) Olive, Patti Boyd, Terry (Paula) Lloyd, his brothers Howard Martz and Ray Martz, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel (Riddel) who he married May 15, 1944 in Shelbyville, IL. She died March 1, 1992. He was also preceded in death by two sisters Bertha Mae Shields and Helen Ann Gould. He grew up in Shelbyville, IL. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and was stationed in the Philipines. After the service he attended Sparks Business College in Shelbyville and then went to work for The Shelby County Farm Service. He was recalled in to the army during the Korean Conflict. After he was discharged he and his wife moved to Greenville where he went to work at Bond County Farm Service and retired as Office Manager in 1982. Memorial contribution are suggested to Shriner's Hospital

So sorry for Pat and her family's loss. Wish I could have met "OG" – other grandpaw. Miss Hazel is my goddaughter and I a so thankful she was able to spend time with OG earlier this summer. My heart goes out to all of the family.

My condolences to the family. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lloyd years ago. I know he will be missed.

So sorry for your loss I just found out Lloyd had passed away he was my moms brother my mom was Mildred Holley.
