Jack Alan Hardy

Jack A. Hardy, 70, of Davie, Florida, formerly of Mt. Auburn, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 3, 1938 in Springfield, the son of John 0. and Dorothy Warnick Hardy. He operated Jack Hardy, Inc., a large site development company. 

Surviving are his wife, Penny, son Jon (wife Lisa) hardy of Miami, Fl., sisters: Joan Cornell of Taylorville and June Dazzeo of Las Vegas, NV., Nephew, Brent (wife Janelle) Cornell of Taylorville, niece, Stacey Cornell of Champaign. Aunts: May Neutzling and Lucy Halliday, both of California, and June Hardy, Mt. Auburn. 

Funeral will be Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Taylorville Christian Church, Taylorville, Ill., with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, Illinois. The Patriot Riders will lead the procession. Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, in charge of arrangements.
