James A. Brown

James A. Brown, 71 of Millersville passed away at 9:50 PM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born on November 24, 1944 at Mt. Vernon, MO the son of Edward and Ethel Brown. James married Shirley A. Enlow on May 21, 1970 at Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Son, Richard "Ricky" Bush, Brother, Charles and Sister, Holene.

James worked as a millwright for Continental Grain and later worked for ADM as a construction laborer. He enjoyed playing chess with his grandchildren and going to play Bingo with his wife Shirley. James was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include: His wife, Shirley A. Brown of Millersville, IL; Daughter, Theresa Bush of Stonington, IL; Sons, Troy Bush of Centralia, IL, Gerald (Wife, Tammi) Brown of Taylorville, IL and James L. Brown of Mt. Juliet, TN; 15 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Jimmy Brown of New Mexico; Sisters, Rosie of Texas, Nadine and Kelly of New Mexico; Many Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Millersville Cemetery. Burial will follow in Millersville Cemetery.
