James D. Thompson

James Dean "Jim" Thompson, 55 of Sorento passed away at 11:18 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

He was born on March 31, 1961 at Sangamon County, IL the son of Wayne and Mildred (Huffman) Thompson. He married Earlene F. Arndt on February 14, 1981 at Woburn, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.

Jim had worked for Orgill Inc. at Vandalia as an assistant supervisor. He enjoyed restoring cars.

Survivors include: His wife, Earlene F. Thompson of Sorento, IL; Daughter, Roselynd Marie Thompson (FiancAC., Steven Lawson) of Panama, IL; Son, James D. Thompson II (Companion, Shannon Grant) of Sorento, IL; Grandchildren, Damian Thompson, Izzak Thompson, Tasha Lawson, James Grant Jr, Tiffany Grant and Addyn Grant; Great Grandchildren, Elizabeth Lawson, Penny Craig and a third expected soon; Mother, Mildred Thompson of Hillsboro, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service at Perfetti Funeral Home.
