James "Jim" Ray Walker

James R. “Jim” Walker 52, of Litchfield passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 12:05 PM at his home.

He was born on October 23, 1960 at Wagner, South Dakota the son of Donald and Mildred (Smith) Walker.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in law, Dean Burris.

Jim was employed as a tire technician and alignment specialist.  He enjoyed racing RC cars, fishing horseback riding and animals.

Survivors include: His longtime companion, Melvina “Mel” Cook of Litchfield, IL; Daughter, Paige Walker of Wood river, IL; 2 grandchildren; Brothers, Jack (Linda) Strand of Rapid City, SD, Dorman (Theresa) Walker of Milford, Iowa and Donald (Terri) Harwood of Rapid City, SD; Sister, Phyllis Evins of Coolidge, AZ; Extended family, Norma Zeller, Leota and Jeff Green and Rich and Paula Burris; Many nieces, nephews and Great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 6:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento.  Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Sorento.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
