James Joseph Hallowell

James Joseph Hallowell, 66, of Morrisonville passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 3:03 PM at his home. 

He was born July 6, 1939 in Springfield the son of Joseph and Edwyna (Schontz) Hallowell. He married Rosalie Painter on September 21, 1963 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Springfield. His parents preceded him in death. 

Mr. Hallowell worked for the State Journal-Register as a printer for 19 years and as District manager of circulation for 23 years, retiring December 1, 2002. He was a 1957 graduate of Cathedral Boys High School in Springfield. 

Survivors: Wife, Rosalie Hallowell of Morrisonville, IL; Son, Timothy Hallowell of Morrisonville, IL; Daughter, Colleen (husband, Khristopher) Donaldson of Springfield, IL; 2 Grandchildren, Dalton and Allison Donaldson; Brother, Harry (wife, Sherry) Hallowell of Edinburg, IL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 6 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 6 at 1:00 PM at Moffitt-Perfetti Funeral, with Rev. Chris J. Comerford officiating. Burial will follow in St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery. 

In memory of James J. Hallowell memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or St. Maurice Catholic School.
