James M. Stewart

James M. Stewart, 79 of Morrisonville passed away on Thursday, may 1, 2014 at 11:51 PM at his home.

He was born of February 13, 1935 at Hillsboro the son of Edward M. and Madge E. (Chesser) Stewart. He married Carol L. Smith on October 25, 1959 at Morrisonville United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Vicky L. Furness on November 5, 2012.

Before his retirement, Jim was a 2nd generation owner of Stewart's Market in Morrisonville. He was a member of Morrisonville United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Air National Guard.

Survivors include: His wife, Carol L. Stewart of Morrisonville, IL; Son, Greg (wife, Luanne) Stewart of Morrisonville, IL; 2 granddaughters, Danielle Furness (fiancAC., Devon) and Shelby Furness; 1 great grandson, Drayven Fenton; Brother, Robert (wife, Frances) Stewart of Morrisonville, IL; 4 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Morrisonville Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Morrisonville Community Ambulance or Morrisonville United Methodist Church.
