Janet Emerson

Janet Emerson, 44, of Taylorville died at 11:50 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2004, in her home.

She was born November 2, 1959, in Taylorville, the daughter of Jacob “Bill” and Rose (Jackson) Emerson. She was a respiratory therapist at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield. She was a member of Women of the Moose.

Surviving are her sisters: Kathy Emerson and Connie (husband Clyde) Westbrook, both of Taylorville; brothers: Ron (wife Rhonda) Emerson of Assumption, Larry (wife Susan) Emerson of Morrisonville and Randy (wife Debbie) Emerson of Taylorville; sister-in-law, Nancy Emerson of Palmer; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Billy Emerson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Francis Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Fraley Cemetery, Taylorville.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
