Jerry D. Fowler

Jerry D. Fowler, 64, of Panama died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 in St. John's Hospital in Springfield at 12:30 p.m.
Cremation rites have been accorded; inurnment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date. The Perfetti Funeral Home of Panama is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fowler was born in Centralia to Paul B. and Delores G. (Richards) Fowler on Jan. 11, 1951. He married Nancy I. Goble on Aug. 31, 1986, in Centralia, and she survives in Panama.
Also surviving are two sons, Jerry D. Fowler Jr. (companion Dawn Bass) of Walnut Hill and Kevin Deaton of Panama; five grandchildren, Haley, Saraha and Dillon Fowler, Kevin (companion Abbey Butler) Deaton, Jr. and Amber Deaton; three great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Landon and Analena; two sisters, Connie Adcock of Tennessee and Diane Fowler of Effingham; two stepsisters; one stepbrother, Raymond Myers of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.
A factory worker, Mr. Fowler was a Vietnam War veteran who served in the Army. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Fowler was preceded by his parents, stepfather and one sister.
