Jerry Wayne Phelps

Jerry Wayne Phelps, age 60, of Taylorville, passed away on Tuesday June 19,2007 7:10 PM. at home. He was born July I, 1946, in Lovington, the son of Roscoe and Naomi Halterman Phelps, Sr. He retired from Firestone as a Machinist after 31 years and was a Charter Bus Driver for 9 years. Jerry married Char Tyler in Taylorville on 8-31-1990. 

He is survived by his wife, of Taylorville. Daughters: Diane (Dale) Garmon, Lovington, Ill., Cindy Phelps, Decatur, Karol (Brad) Davis, Taylorville. Sons: Richard (Margie) Phelps, Taylorville, Kyle Tyler, Ogosby, Ill. 12 Grandchildren. Brother: Harold E. Phelps, Lovington, Ill. 

Visitation will be I 0:00-11 :00 AM . Friday at Shafer Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 :00 AM. Friday At Shafer Funeral Home. With Rev Philip Neumann officiating 
Burial will be at Fraley Cemetery Taylorville, Illinois.
