Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Light a CandleThe last time I saw JoAnn was at Melvin’s funeral in Wisconsin, and the time before that I was still a child. I had asked her if she knew who I was, and she confidently said my name. Family can be funny like that – maintaining an invisible yet unbreakable connection across many miles and years. It’s something that I’ve always appreciated about our big, messy, extended family.
When my mother spoke of JoAnn, I could feel the love she had in her heart for her sister, which meant by default that I would also love her. To Kim, Karyn, and your families, you are very much loved, and so was your mom.
