JoAnn (Tonks) Stone, 94 of Taylorville passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 10:15 a.m. at her daughter’s home in Taylorville. She was born on January 17, 1931, in Taylorville IL, the daughter of Henry G. and Creta (Oddy) Tonks. She married William A. Stone on July 12, 1962, in Taylorville. JoAnn was a member of the Taylorville Evangelical Free Church; Christian County Senior Citizens and she was a graduate of Stonington High School class of 1949.

JoAnn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Ted Fleming of Taylorville, IL grandchildren:  Holly (Keith) Layton of Taylorville, IL; Theodore Fleming Jr. of Taylorville, IL; Shane (Jamie) Mann of Virginia Beach, VA; Carmen Mann of Chatham, IL, Virginia Coontz of Oklahoma; great-grandchildren: Madisyn Mann, Caleb Mann, Cason Mann, Austin Mann, Alliyah Mann, Alyssa Mann, Alexia Jones, Jaeda Mercer, Isabel Layton, Jillian Layton, Greyson Layton, Lilly Fleming, Teddy Fleming, Remi Fleming; daughter-in-law: Donna Mann of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grandparents: George and Mollie Oddy, husband, Son: Paul Mann, Brother: Harry James Tonks.   

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Taylorville Evangelical Free Church in Taylorville, IL. Funeral service will begin immediately following the visitation starting at 11:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor Don Beetem officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

Memorials may be made to the Taylorville Evangelical Free Church.
