John D. Meyer
June 5, 1947 ~ April 4, 2013
John D. Meyer passed away at Greenville Regional Hospital at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Upchurch) Meyer whom he married on July 31, 1987 in Greenville, son Stephen L. (Laura) Brave, his daughters Mindy (Bart) Ingle and Robin Peterson, his brother Dennis (Susan) Meyer, his sisters Ruth (Barry) Dixon, Judy (John) Papendorf, Sharon (Ted) Brewer, and Cindy (Brian) Braun and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Shirley Ackerman. He attended Greenville schools and graduated from Greenville High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era. He had B-Line Systems, Buske Truck Lines and Bentonite Performance Minerals. Memorial are suggested to The Bond County Humane Society.

Johnny and I shared the same alphabetized row in the THS auditorium. He was so kind and gentle. His service for our country came at a critical time in our lives. My deepest regrets to his family.
