Jack you were one of a kind! So many good memerioes over in the supply warehouse.
May you rest in peace my friend! See you on the other side!
Condolences to the whole Rhoads family — Barb, Bernie, Randy, Aimee, spouses and grandkids. Jack was one-of-a-kind; I’m sure his spirit will live on in the kids & grandkids. Thoughts & prayers with you all at this sad time.
Barb, sorry for your loss. First met Jack during our freshman year at MHS (Class of 1960). Several years after graduation we marched in the Homecoming parade and shared during military funerals. We spoke of meeting in Florida (we live just 40 mile west of The Villages) but just never made it happen. May God give each of you peace and comfort during this time. I will always remember those “Highschool” days and our sharing of military experience as we would meet at the Legion Hall.
A great man who I had the opportunity to meet in the 183rd.
Prayers for comfort and peace for family and friends.
Sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. I remember as a kid, him and speed Beaty working on my grandfathers farm Guy Pope then working with Jack in the 183rd Illinois National Guard. Then him marrying my high school English teacher Barbara
Dougherty, who would have thought? The last time I had the pleasure of talking with Jack, was at the former Darryl’s
Tavern in Morrisonville, it was good to see him after all the years. You will be missed, all of our prayers from my family to yours. Phil, Arlene and Jon Marcus
My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Jack Rhoads!
My deepest sympathies and prayers to you, Barb, and your family. It was great to meet up with you and hi back in 2000 at a wedding. May your memories comfort you.
I had the honor the serving with Chief Rhoads in CE for over 20 years and the pleasure of calling him a friend also. I will always remember Jack as one who had the respect of his people and did this with his leadership and great sense of humor. Many memories of past deployments. May God Jack and his family.

To Barb and family:
So saddened to here of Jack’s passing. Will always cherish the times we had together, from eating water melon outside the warehouse at the 183rd, to times spent out at the lake, to being the color guard for the Legion. I will treasure these memories always. All of you are in my prayers. God bless.
I also had the privilege of serving with Jack in the Air Guard when I was the Fire Department. I can still his voice and laugh. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers.
My prayers and condolences to all of Mr. Rhoads family, relatives, and friends. I was sorry to hear of his passing; May he rest in peace. May his family feel the peace of God wrapping his loving arms around all of you, holding you up when you think you cannot take another step; yet bless you with the ability laugh and smile when you think of him from stories told by others or yourselves. Love Always.
