Jon Millard Moore

Jon Millard Moore, 57 of Morrisonville passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 6:35 PM at his home.

He was born on August 22, 1955 at Hillsboro the son of Millard Ross and Evelyn Ruth (Miller) Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister, Lasche Moore, Brothers Don Moore and Denver Moore.

Jon farmed most of his life. He was also a self employed carpenter. He previously worked as a truck driver for W.H. Kent Trucking, worked at Morrisonville COOP and in his early years was a grave digger for Morrisonville Cemetery. Jon was a Mason and a member of first Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville. He was a former board member of the Morrisonville-Palmer Fire Department.

Survivors include: sons, Brian D. (wife, Christina) Moore of Assumption, IL and Craig M. (wife, Jamie) Moore of Morrisonville, IL; Daughter, Anne N. (husband, Zach) Beard of Morrisonville, IL; 3 Grandchildren, Thomas J. Beard, Rafe D. Beard and Quinn T. Moore; Companion, Carol Childers of Morrisonville, IL; Sisters, Renee Moore of Morrisonville, IL and Kay Weitekamp of Sullivan, IN; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Morrisonville with Rev. Jim Ferrill officiating. Burial will follow at Morrisonville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Morrisonville.
