Julie Kay Riggs, 50, of Taylorville passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 10:15 PM at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield. She was born January 31, 1962 in Taylorville the daughter of Jack and LeAnn (Poor) Nation Girard. She married James D. Riggs on August 2, 1980 at Taylorville. Her parents preceded her in death. Julie was a homemaker.

Survivors: Husband, James Riggs of Taylorville, IL; Daughters, April Riggs (companion, Jeremy Friesland) and Ashley Riggs (companion, Joe Rockford) both of Taylorville, IL; Sons, Alex Riggs and Ryan Riggs both of Taylorville, IL; 6 grandchildren, Gavan Cooper, Dominick Cooper, Jaxon Riggs, Wyatt Cruzan, Braydon Riggs and Kayden Rockford; Brothers, Tom Girard of Chicago, IL, Joseph Girard of Taylorville, IL and David (wife, Christina) Nation of Clinton, IL; Sister, Jackie Boyd of Taylorville, IL; Several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Church in Taylorville with Pastor John Crist officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Shafer-
