Karen Frances (Brewer) Turner, 71, of Greenville passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:59 PM at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

She was born on October 15, 1942 at Reno, Illinois the daughter of Ralph V. and Frances M. (Micnhimer) Brewer. She was preceded in death by her parents; Brother, Gale Brewer; Granddaughter, Stormy Maass; Former spouse, David Turner.

Before her retirement, Karen was a social worker for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She was a trustee of the Reno Bethel Cemetery Board and a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She was a lifetime member of AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary and Reno Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Daughter, Kimberly (Harold) Adler of Greenville, IL; Grandchildren, Michael (Allison) Maass and Alex Adler; Great Grandchild, Dahlia Maass; Sisters, Margie (Lynn) Wall of Sorento, IL, Kathy (Robert) Cunningham of Eagerville, IL and Darlene Brewer of Weirsdale, FL; Brothers, Leroy (Sara) Brewer of Coffeen, IL, Pat (Sandy) Brewer of Mt. Olive, IL; Randy (Tammy) Brewer of Mitchell, IL and Rodney (Kim) Brewer of Smithboro, IL; Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Reno. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
